The Huawei Mate X is finally officially launched in China, long after its officialization. We still do not know the future of the foldable smartphone in the rest of the world.

Like the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the Huawei Mate X has experienced significant delays between its formalization and its date of commercialization. The collapsible smartphone of the Chinese brand was indeed still unavailable for sale on any market, but it is now history.

The presales of Huawei Mate X officially start today, Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in China, as reported by Reuters. If we omit the anecdotal Royole FlexPai, it is now the second foldable smartphone in the world to be available after, of course, the Galaxy Fold.

Recall that the Huawei Mate X was originally released in June, but had to undergo additional certifications before being ready for commercialization.
