This new feature will let the video play on the window, and WhatsApp will continue to run in the background. If you have finished watching the video, you can turn it off by clicking the “x” button.

Both of these features are currently in beta and may be available by the end of the year. However, to take advantage of some of the new features of WhatsApp, download the WhatsApp beta 2.19.177 for Android from the Google Play Store.
