Instagram is testing in several countries to determine whether hiding similar numbers and the number of views received by the video will have a positive impact on users.

The company is expanding its experiments from Canada to Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and Brazil.

While users can still see the number of likes and views they receive on a post, their followers can only see their own name “and other people” instead of a similar count.

In this way, Instagram is designed to try to reduce the low self-esteem that is usually ignited by young users of the platform.
