Co-Founders of Google Larry Page and Sergey Brin Step Down
Earlier this afternoon Google declared that Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin would abandon their respective roles as CEO and President of Alphabet. Current Google CEO Sundar Pichai will now become CEO of Alphabet as well.
Why we should care Sunday Pichai became CEO of Google about four years back, only after holding the business Alphabet has been announced. He had been the organization’s product chief.
Ever since then revenues have grown from approximately $74.5 billion to $136 billion in final years. The organization’s share price has more than doubled and it’s market cap has grown from just under $500 billion to roughly $900 billion today. Investors will be unfazed by this transition and may regard it as completely positive.
Larry Page and Sergey Brin have not been included in the daily operations of this company for quite a very long moment.Pichai are now the sole chief atop of Google’s digital empire, presiding over the company at a time of both opportunity and peril. Regulators across the planet are seeking ways to rein in the company and impose new controls on how it functions.
Additionally, there is internal pressure as activist workers voice worries over a range of both external and internal issues.
