Blazing Blade

If you are playing the game outside Japan, then Blazing Blade is one of the introductory Fire Emblem games in the series. This game was released on GBA in the United States featuring 3 main characters. 

You start the game with Eliwood, Hector and Lyn who play as the main protagonist in the game. Lyn is fairly new but Eliwood and Hector have a significant connection with the previous Fire Emblem game.

The game is subdivided into two storylines. The first focuses on Lyn and her quest to save her grandfather. The second focuses on the trio battling against the sorcerer Nergal. 

As a player, you are able to switch between characters and play secondary roles on the go.

Shadow of Valentia

It is the fifteenth game in the Fire Emblem series, but it is a complete remake of the one published in 1992. It combines the dungeon crawling aspect with the turn-based tactical strategy killing gameplay. 

The game comes in two difficulty settings; there is a classical mode and a casual mode. Both of these game modes were initially introduced in the Fire Emblem: Awakening. 

The Classic game mode feature is a lot more challenging because it brings the permadeath feature whereas the casual mode only sends your character out of the battle but he/she doesn’t completely die. These modes make the game remarkably enjoyable for strategy fans and make game enjoyable.

Conquest

Launched in 2015, Conquest and Birthright are both part of the Fire Emblem Fates series. For the first time, it is a single game that features two different series with different stories in Fire Emblem game. 

If you’re a casual gamer, then you can begin playing with Birthright as it is aimed at giving you a remarkable gaming experience in the casual gaming space. However, if you are the type of gamer who likes to face challenges and is more of a hardcore Fire Emblem fan, then Conquest is your way in.

In Conquest, the enemies are relatively stronger than the enemies in Birthright and are designed for special conditioning of the individuals. It polishes up your skill on tactical strategy so you can win.

Birthright

Birthright is the second series in the Fire Emblem Fates game. Both the series are set on the same continent; however, you play in both the games from different sides of the conflict. However, with Birthright, you don’t have to face much of a tough time as your enemies are fairly easy to take down. 

It is very important that you play both the games within the respective series if you want to have the full experience. If you’re a casual strategy fan, then Birthright is the best place to begin Fire Emblem.

Sacred Stones

The third game in the Fire Emblem series featuring the old retro-styled gameplay, Sacred Stones is a great starting point for all those who are planning to begin with the Fire Emblem series on GBA. 

The game typically features almost the same mechanics which are observed in the Blazing Blade. However, the gameplay takes place in an entirely different continent where Players get the chance to explore new plots, focus on new enemies and investigate new cases taking place within the nation.
